2024 Pain Care Skills Training with Dates - Plenaries: Augst 13, 2024. Virtual Training: August 14-15, 2024. In Person Training: August 20-21, 2024.

The 14th Annual Pain Care Skills Training is brought to you by the National Capital Region Pain Initiative at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. This training brings colleagues and subject matter experts together to learn more about optimizing care and integrative approaches to pain management within the Department of Defense (DoD). The focus will be in sharing best practices, conducting hands on training and learning integrative approaches. The overall goal of the Pain Care Skills Training will be to promote readiness, restoration of function and relief of pain while reducing the misuse of opioids. 

This year’s Pain Care Skills Training will be held as a HYBRID event.

The format is as follows:

Day 1: Made available August 13, Plenary Sessions are pre-recorded
Day 2 & 3: August 14-15, AM/PM EDT Workshops are VIRTUAL
Day 4 & 5: August 20-21, AM/PM EDT Workshops are IN-PERSON* – NIH Natcher Conference Center in Bethesda, MD

When you register (see Registration button above), the specific dates and times of workshops will be listed. Workshops will be held via ZOOMGov and/or In-person. Web links and entrance instructions for virtual sessions will be sent closer to the dates of the training. 

CME/CNE’s will be available for this training, (see CME Registration button above).
Please note – some workshops are 2, 3, 4 or 8 hours in length.

*NOTE: Medical Hypnosis is offering an up to 12-Hour hybrid training course. 

Part 1 August 14: A subject introduction virtual workshop which can be taken alone as a 4-hour training and MUST be taken to complete the 12-hour training course. 

Part 2 August 20: A prerequisite to taking this 8-hour in-person training is the completion of the 4-hour virtual training as noted above.
