Sole Provider Program

The Sole Provider Program is a DoD approved program to provide effective pain management care for patients who have or may demonstrate drug-seeking behavior and/or dependence.  WRNMMC maintains a Sole Provider Program under direction of Executive Committee of the Medical Staff (ECOMS). The function of this program is to monitor patients at risk for, or with demonstrated prescription misuse. The program allows real-time support to inform prescription activity, and monthly follow- up on potential patient concerns with prescribers. A suspected patient with drug seeking behavior should be referred to Sole Provider Committee (SPC) by providers, nurses, pharmacist, and other staff discovering such behavior. A Sole Provider Committee meeting is held quarterly to monthly based on need. The purpose of this meeting is a routine monthly monitoring of patients enrolled in the WRNMMC Sole Provider Program.
