VIRTUAL LOGISTICS - AUGUST 11 & 12 (ALL TIMES ET)
The 2026 Combined Pain Care Skills & Substance Use Disorder Training Virtual Workshops and Keynote Lecture will be held in the ZoomGov platform. All virtual workshop registrants will receive an email prior to the Training with instructions for accessing the Workshops based on your course selections during the registration process.
For Troubleshooting, best practices and helpful ZoomGov tutorials, please review this ZOOMGov Technical Assistance document before the training begins on August 11, 2026.
IN-PERSON LOGISTICS - AUGUST 18 - 19 (ALL TIMES ET)
Due to continued interest in virtual options, this training will be virtual (August 11-12, 2026) with interactive workshops via ZoomGov and in person (August 18-19, 2026) in Washington, DC. The International Pain Working Group will have their Annual Meeting (August 17 & 20) in Washington, DC, this event is by invitation only.
Limited travel funds may be available for DoD Attendees ONLY. DoD Attendees may contact NCRPI directly to inquire about these funds at dha.bethesda.wrnmmc.mbx.pain-skills-training@health.mil.
This year, the in-person portion of the 2026 Combined Pain Care Skills & Substance Use Disorder Training will take place at the National Union Building, in Washington, DC.

GETTING TO THE NATIONAL UNION BUILDING
The is located 918 F Street NW, in between The Ventana Condo and The Escape Game. Upon arrival, the registration desk will be located on the right-hand side, where you can pick up your name badge and meeting materials. All trainings will be held on floors two through six, which are accessible by both stairs and elevator.
By Metro: The meeting venue is one block away from the Gallery Place Metro Station (Red and Green lines), and is two blocks from the Metro Center Station (Blue, Orange, Red and Silver Lines).
By Car: There are several nearby parking garages. Please reference the National Union Building website for nearby parking garage options.
By Foot (if staying at the Hotel): The Grand Hyatt is 0.2 mile walk (~5 minutes) from the meeting venue.
Coffee & Breakfast Options
Coffee and breakfast will not be provided to attendees, however, there are plenty of nearby options. Attendees should expect to arrive by 0700 to pick up their badge and other materials prior to the start of the morning workshops (0730).
Lunch Options
Lunch will not be provided to attendees, however, there are plenty of nearby restaurants and lunch options. Attendees can expect to have about an hour in between morning and afternoon workshops and are welcome to pick up lunch and return to the Training location to eat in the designated common area.
Health & Safety
Risk measures will be taken per CDC guidance for the location and date of the training.

- Instructor preferences will be enforced regarding masks.
