To better provide outcomes for military service members worldwide, the National Capital Region Pain Initiative is partnering with the International Pain Working Group to help host their Second Annual Meeting beginning on 18 August and ending on 21 August.

This group hosted its inaugural gathering in the UK in 2024 where pain providers from 14 NATO countries gathered for the purpose of collaborating on research, advocacy & policy, and clinical best practices related to effective pain treatment for military service members.

This year’s Annual Meeting has the primary objective of formalizing the group’s charter and nominating members to serve in leadership roles moving forward. The members plan to prioritize introductions and collaborations across NATO military pain providers, to work on further organizing the group’s categories of interest, and to set and achieve sustainable goals for the future.
